Greg Hanson

About the Author

Mr. Hansen spent much of his career working in artificial intelligence and advanced technology systems. He served as Chief Scientist for a Fortune 500 company specializing in AI and cybersecurity, and led AI development efforts for multiple government research programs. Later in his career, he worked as a cybersecurity contractor with the National Security Agency and later led development efforts related to AI-driven satellite defense systems. While many details of that work remain classified, the experience informed numerous technological and strategic elements in A Planet of Misplaced Gods. He has also taught artificial intelligence concepts in MBA and computer science programs and led an AI research group at Carnegie Mellon University, and is a certified ethical hacker.
